Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Soltlane, we ship authentic books from India to customers worldwide. This policy explains our dispatch timelines, delivery estimates, tracking, customs responsibilities, and what to do if a parcel is delayed or undelivered. For returns and exchanges, please refer to our Returns Policy.

1) Shipping Destinations

  • We ship from India to most countries worldwide.
  • Available shipping services and charges are shown in the cart/checkout based on your location and order weight.
  • If a destination is not serviceable at the moment, checkout may not show a shipping option.

2) Processing & Dispatch Time

  • Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2–4 business days after payment confirmation.
  • Dispatch time is separate from transit time (shipping time).
  • During peak periods, holidays, or high order volume, dispatch may take longer. If so, we will update you by email.
Note: “Processing/Dispatch” means packing and handing over to the carrier. “Transit” means the carrier’s delivery journey.

3) Shipping Carriers & Service Selection

We use multiple carriers depending on destination, service availability, parcel type, and delivery performance.

  • India Post (Tracked Packet / International Parcel / EMS, depending on destination)
  • DHL, FedEx, UPS, Aramex (available for select destinations/orders)

4) Estimated Delivery Timelines (Transit Time)

Timelines below are estimates. Actual delivery may vary due to customs clearance, local courier handling, remote area delivery, weather disruptions, or public holidays.

India Post Tracked / Air Parcel Typical delivery: 7–20 business days (service & country dependent)
India Post EMS Typical delivery: 4–10 business days (service & country dependent)
Express Couriers (DHL/FedEx/UPS/Aramex) Typical delivery: 3–10 business days (route & customs dependent)
Remote / Extended Areas Delivery may take longer and may require pickup at a local facility/post office

5) Delivery Method: Door Delivery vs Pickup

  • Most shipments are delivered door-to-door.
  • In certain countries/areas, the local carrier may require post office / depot pickup (ID may be required).
  • If pickup is required, tracking updates usually indicate “Available for pickup” or a similar status.

6) Tracking Information

  • Tracking details are emailed to you once your order is dispatched.
  • Tracking may take 24–72 hours to show movement after carrier handover.
  • International shipments may show fewer scans while in transit; updates often resume after customs/local carrier handover.

7) Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

  • Customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT/GST, or import fees charged by the destination country.
  • Customs inspections/clearance can cause delays beyond our control.
  • If customs requests documentation, the customer may need to coordinate with the local carrier/customs office.

8) Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight/volume, and selected service.
  • Any customs duties/taxes (if applicable) are separate and payable by the customer to local authorities.

9) Address Accuracy & Failed Delivery

  • Please provide a complete and accurate shipping address including postcode/ZIP and a reachable phone/WhatsApp number.
  • If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect/incomplete address or repeated failed delivery attempts, reshipping costs may apply.
  • We are not responsible for deliveries made to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
Tip: For smoother customs and delivery contact, include a local phone number when possible.

10) Delays, Loss, Damage, or Missing Parcels

Delays

  • Please check tracking first—many delays resolve during customs or local transfer.
  • If tracking shows no movement for an extended period, contact us with your Order ID and Tracking ID.

Loss / Non-delivery

  • If the parcel is suspected lost, we will initiate an inquiry with the carrier.
  • Replacement/refund eligibility is assessed case-by-case after carrier investigation outcomes.

Damage

  • If your parcel arrives damaged, please email us photos of the outer packaging and the damaged items within 48 hours of delivery.

11) Force Majeure / Delivery Exceptions

Soltlane is not liable for delays or non-delivery due to circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to) customs holds, natural disasters, strikes, transportation disruptions, public holidays, or local carrier limitations.

12) Payments

  • We accept secure payments via PayPal and other methods shown at checkout (as available).
  • Orders are processed after successful payment confirmation.

13) Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time.
  • Updates take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

14) Governing Law

This Shipping & Delivery Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.
