Goodword Islamic Studies Gift Box (Grades 1 to 10)

Why this book matters today

Every parent wants their child to grow up knowing who they are — grounded in faith, confident in their values, and connected to something meaningful. Yet in a world full of noise and competing influences, giving children that foundation takes more than good intentions; it takes the right tools. The Islamic Studies Gift Box is exactly that: a complete, thoughtfully structured learning journey that helps young Muslims develop a clear, confident, and living understanding of their faith — from their very first lessons all the way through to more advanced study.

What makes this book unique

This is not a collection of textbooks thrown together — it is a cohesive ten-level series, carefully designed so that each grade builds naturally on the last. As a child grows, so does their understanding. The approach moves well beyond memorisation, weaving together storytelling, honest reflection, and practical exercises to help students truly internalise Islamic teachings rather than simply recite them.

  • A clear, step-by-step progression from foundational to more advanced levels
  • Engaging lessons rooted in authentic Qur’anic and prophetic sources
  • Exercises that invite understanding, reflection, and personal connection
  • A balanced and integrated approach covering belief, worship, and character

Key themes and knowledge inside

Across all ten levels, students are gently and systematically guided through the most important areas of Islamic learning — always in language and with examples suited to their age and stage of development.

  • Understanding Allah and the foundations of faith (Aqeedah)
  • Learning about the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Seerah
  • Introduction to the Pillars of Islam and the practices of daily worship
  • Development of good character through Islamic ethics and morals (Akhlaq)
  • Stories from the Qur’an that spark curiosity and inspire reflection
  • Essential Islamic history and its lessons for living well today
  • Duas and accessible Arabic passages for everyday use

External reference (Qur’an)

Allah Himself reminds us of how precious knowledge truly is:

Then High above all be Allâh, the True King. And be not in haste (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with the Qur’ân before its revelation is completed to you, and say: “My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.” (Surah Taha 20:114)

Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said :

“Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, commanding good and forbidding evil is charity, your giving directions to a man lost in the land is charity for you. Your seeing for a man with bad sight is a charity for you, your removal of a rock, a thorn or a bone from the road is charity for you. Your pouring what remains from your bucket into the bucket of your brother is charity for you.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1956)

It was narrated from Mu’awiyah bin Jahimah As-Sulami, that Jahimah came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:

O Messenger of Allah! I want to go out and fight (in Jihad) and I have come to ask your advice.” He said: “Do you have a mother?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Then stay with her, for Paradise is beneath her feet. (Sunan an-Nasa’i 3104)
