Published by Goodword Books, this volume is part of a graded Islamic education series designed for students who are ready to engage with their faith seriously and systematically. With its focus on belief, character, and social responsibility, it is equally at home in a classroom, a homeschool program, or on the shelf of a student learning independently.
Why Goodword Islamic Studies Grade 10 matters today
Secondary school students are at a pivotal point in their lives — forming their values, questioning the world around them, and beginning to understand who they are and what they stand for. Islamic Studies Grade 10 meets them at exactly that moment. It presents Islam not as a set of rules to memorise, but as a complete way of life — addressing justice, tolerance, honesty, and respect for human dignity through authentic Qur’anic and Hadith sources. Lesson by lesson, it helps young readers see how Islam shapes not just personal worship, but every corner of how we live, relate to others, and carry ourselves in the world.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Verily, Allâh enjoins Al-‘Adl (i.e. justice and worshipping none but Allâh Alone – Islâmic Monotheism) and Al-Ihsân [i.e. to be patient in performing your duties to Allâh, totally for Allâh’s sake and in accordance with the Sunnah (legal ways) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in a perfect manner], and giving (help) to kith and kin1 (i.e. all that Allâh has ordered you to give them e.g., wealth, visiting, looking after them, or any other kind of help), and forbids Al-Fahshâ’ (i.e all evil deeds, e.g. illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, polytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to kill a life without right), and Al-Munkar (i.e all that is prohibited by Islâmic law: polytheism of every kind, disbelief and every kind of evil deeds), and Al-Baghy (i.e. all kinds of oppression). He admonishes you, that you may take heed.” (Quran 16:90)
Through topics like Tawheed, Risalah, Akhirah, and Islamic values, this book builds both knowledge and character — two things that can never truly be separated in the Islamic tradition.
